Children Of Light
“Lord Don’t Walk On By”
HMG Nashville
Gospel Single Release
Children Of Light is a unique Gospel group, consisting of the young and older generation of Soldiers For Christ. The group was brought together over a period of ten years. Their heart’s desire is to spread God's truth. After years of struggling to find their way, a group that began with four young sisters, has evolved into four sisters, two brothers, a mother and an aunt. Sisters Patricia and Dorothy spent years singing in a church choir and had no idea that God would later call Dorothy's four younger daughters to sing: Euretisia, Euritiska, Mirendia and Rachel. Growing up, the girls were curious to understand God's purpose for their lives. All the while, they, along with their two younger brothers, Aaron and Isrel, did their best to survive in a tough neighborhood. They would later come together and form a group that God has blessed with original songs to record a powerful new Gospel album. Together, the blend of such a unique, eclectic age group, created a rich and seasoned sound, all while maintaining a Contemporary flavor. This flavor, combined with God's powerful messages in the songs, made for an explosive new way to present God's message to the world in a way that reaches all generations.
Joy Shearer
“Teaching My Angel How To Fly”
HMG Nashville CC Vol. 164
“Teaching My Angel How To Fly” is Joy’s second release to Inspirational Country radio. “God teaches me lessons daily, and this lesson occurred while working in my flower garden. My daughter had just finished boot camp in the Navy and was being sent to Diego Garcia, which is a tiny island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. She was twenty-three and had never been that far from home. My mind also went to my other daughter, who was living in Houston, Texas. As I watched a momma bird teach her young baby how to fly, God spoke to me about my children. The song was written out of a heart that was asking God to watch over my children and teach them how to succeed in life. Since that time, God has answered my prayers for my children in so many ways. He is so good!” exclaims Joy. Look for “Teaching My Angel How To Fly” on HMG Nashville CC 164.
God’s Messengers
“Phone Call From Home”
HMG Nashville Power Gospel Vol. 46
God’s Messengers is a husband and wife duo made up of Reverend Edward Worthley and his wife Rebecca. They were first introduced to radio with their debut single, “I’m Satisfied,” which received great reviews, spending several months on the Power Source Southern Gospel chart. Their follow-up release, “Phone Call From Home,” was written by Edward during a difficult time. Edward explains, “It was during a season of my life, when nothing seemed to be going right, and I just could not seem to get anywhere in my prayers! I felt totally deserted and alone. Then, while reading my Bible, I came across the story of Paul. When Paul was in prison, Jesus responded to his praises and set him free. I was so encouraged that I began to sing and praise God. It was like I had been set free! So, I sat down and wrote the lyrics to ‘Phone Call From Home.’” Edward continues, “Now, I have a new level of consciousness, giving me the assurance that God will never leave me or forsake me, even unto the ends of the world.” DJs, this will bless and encourage your listeners!
